It has a decent suction and can clean most debris, however it has trouble with bigger debris such as rice or sand. It is capable of cleaning pet hair, but is not as resistant to tangling as the premium Roomba models like the j7 and I6.

It has three buttons on its top cover.  Clean, which triggers a cleaning process and 'Dock', which puts it in its charging station and "Spot," which initiates a targeted cleaning. You can control it using an app on your smartphone that lets you to schedule cycles, stop/start them and adjust settings. It is also possible to pair the device with smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant to control it via voice.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than some other models, but it can get into the most crevices and corners. It comes with a large bin, which makes it easier to empty. It's compatible with virtual barriers and digital mapping, which allow you to set it to avoid specific areas or to stop completely cleaning if you want to keep it from getting stuck on something.

Although it's not the top model in its price range however, it's superior to many other alternatives.  shark self emptying robot vacuum  is more advanced than the Roomba 694, with a much better cleaning performance on carpets with low and no pile. It also has a more durable battery and a better path. It also feels more durable and has fewer parts that need regular maintenance, is less expensive to own over the course of its life, and charges faster than the 694.

It is also worth considering other models within the iRobot range, like the v7 and the 981. The 981 and v7 are more expensive, but they provide significant improvements in cleaning performance both on bare and low pile floors. They also have a bigger dirt compartment and charge faster, move more easily, and are easier to pair with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This self-emptying robot with a budget does a decent job on hard floors and carpets with a low pile. Its combinator brush gets to the edges and corners and then automatically boosts suction once it spots carpet. It is also effective at cleaning dirt and debris that are embedded in mid-pile carpet. The IQ's tiny dock footprint and self-emptying feature are nice touches. If you wish to alter the floor level or set no-go areas, you'll need to manually reset the map.

The IQ app offers some advanced mapping and automated features, however it does not have no-go zones. They are only available on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing system allows for greater maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient, although it can get caught in the tassels of the rug.

During our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to remove the majority of hair on bare floors and a decent amount of rug with a medium pile. It was a little less effective on shag carpets which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It did a decent job of maneuvering around the legs of chairs, tight spaces, and the wooden base of an IKEA step stool. We did notice it was a bit slower on bare floors however it soon recovered speed and performed better than the other robots we tested.

The IQ is a more suitable choice for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dustbin, a longer battery life, and is better at navigating around obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can remove sticky messes. On the other side, the iRobot is built better, has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and has lower recurring costs and creates virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It is able to continue cleaning the point it started, even if the battery is out before it has finished. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a major benefit for many users.

The eufy11S did well in our tests at removing larger debris and fine dust from hard flooring. However, it was unable to give medium and high pile carpets a thorough clean. It also has a tendency to hit furniture and other objects in its path however, it is able to detect obstacles with sensors. If it encounters them it ceases to move and emits an alarm so that you can manually guide it through the obstacle before getting back to work.
